Day starts well, boat needs to go further upstream but we need to go back. So the dingy full speed for 40 mins back to the Namibian border. Past crocs and hippo, was great. Got through customs then into Botswana Arrival OK.
But we wait for our transfer, and wait and wait. Calls that we have as plane to catch which doesn't seem to worry anyone.

Get through Botswana immigration departure into Zimbabwe and found a guide to explain what had happened. Ever seen a black guide turn white? He said he could not promise we would get our flight, but followed up with he loved a challenge.
These guys broke all rules, organised special cars for us. Prebooked us on the plane. Even had immigration waiting for us. It normally takes 1 hour 20 to get from border to airport, we did it in 48 mins and had a relaxing 3 mins before allowed to board plane.
Stressful morning which we did not need. We were sure we would not make this flight and the Blue train dream would remain a dream. Flight to Joburg and drive to Pretoria. How good was it. Arrived in Pretoria.
Not tourist friendly but we were there so quiet night in hotel.
