Sunday 24 June.

We get to the airport 3.5 hours early. Jump on the que for tickets as soon as we arrived as que was a mile long.
Customs and immigration was just as bad. Got to the departure gate after boarding time with 5 minutes up our sleeve. What a painful morning.
Still just after lunch we arrive a Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. What a great little town and the safari lodge we are staying at is also great. Another place where we you sit high above a watering hole and watch the animals come to drink.

4pm we jump on a small boat and do a sunset cruise about 7 km upstream from the falls. Few wines watch hippo's get upset with us a crocodile to make it interesting. We went past an island which had 2 elephants on it. Apparently they swam there which I was pleased about as it has given me the opportunity to say "They must have had their swimming trunks with them". Nice sunset.
Parked around a corner and reversed onto a bank was a Police boat with 3 big policeman, all three stretched out on chairs with fishing lines in hand quietly finishing their shift.
So far all we have seen is spray from the falls. Big viewing tomorrow.

Warthog, I have decided I do like that funny little animal. Especially grilled with a nice tomato sauce and fried potato on the side. Well it was on the menu and I will try anything cooked.
